An act to repeal Section 4669.8 of the Welfare and Institutions
Code, relating to public social services.

	LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST

AB 1106, Committee on Human Services. Developmental services:
regional center alternatives for service delivery.
Existing law requires services to be provided to persons with
developmental disabilities through the State Department of
Developmental Services, and through regional centers with whom the
department contracts to provide, or arrange for the provision of,
services.
Under existing law, regional centers may explore and implement
described regional center service delivery alternatives under certain
conditions. Existing law provides for the repeal of these
provisions relating to alternative service delivery on January 1,
2000.
This bill would delete that repeal date, thereby extending the
authorization for use of service delivery alternatives by regional
centers.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 4669.8 of the Welfare and Institutions Code is
repealed.
